Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2024 stray round is going on by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME). The DME will conduct counselling for 85% state quota. MCC is responsible for Remaining 15% seats under all India quota. Make sure the seats are 100% self-finance in the state medical colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling
- Eligibility criteria is the entry barrier to participate in counselling events. Candidates who have appeared in NEET UG 2024 and qualified are eligible to participate in Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling process.
- It is necessary to be the native of Tamil Nadu for MBBS admission in all the government medical colleges/universities/institutions/minority institutions of the state.
- Candidates who have passed high school and intermediate from outside Tamil Nadu and are native of TN. They are required to submit domicile certificate.
- It is not mandatory to be native of Tamil Nadu for admission in Pvt Medical colleges of TN.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Process

Registration
Registration is the first process of counselling events. Candidates who want to participate in the counselling process 2024, have to register at TN NEET counselling official website www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in. Just to confirm you that this is one time registration for all counselling events. You can participate in other rounds of counselling with same login credential.
Registration fees
Candidates who want to participate in counselling, required to pay a prescribed registration fee of Rs.500/-. This fee can be paid online via net banking/ debit or credit cards.
Tamil Nadu Counselling Security Money
When you have completed the registration part of the counselling process, now it is time to pay security fee. Security money is a refundable. There is separate security money for government and private medical/dental colleges in the state.

Document verification
Document verification comes after registration and deposition of security money. It is mandatory process. Candidates need to report to the respective nodal center to complete their documents verification. Make sure this is very important step to confirm your MBBS seat in Tamil Nadu. Choice filling and locking (Allotment process)
After you finish the document verification process, now it is time to do choice filling and lock it to secure the choices. You need to follow the step by step process-
Login – The candidate needs to login by entering his/her roll number and password. This is OTP based login, so an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Choice Filling and Locking – On the successful login, college list will be visible to you. All you need to add to your choice list and save. You can add the colleges as per your choices and arrange them many times before locking. After completing and reviewing your choice list, lock it. Candidates who fail to lock the choice, application will not be entertained.
Allotment list – Once the choice filling process is over. The TN DM reviews the applications and display the list of the selected candidates.
Reporting to college – Allotted candidates must repost to the college as per given date to confirm the seat.
