The National Board of Examination in Medical Scienes (NBEMS) has released notification on its official website regarding online counselling for admission to MD/MS courses. NEET PG Examination is conducted once a year to offer admission on 9,953 MD seats, 10,821 MS courses, and 1,979 PG medical diploma seats in various medical colleges. This examination is organized by the National Board of Examinations (NBEMS), New Delhi.

The aspiring medical candidates who want to get expertise in a particular specialization such as MD in Radiology or MS general Surgery need to appear for this examination. The authority conducted this online examination to check the ability and knowledge of the candidate. Only the eligible candidates are allowed to write the test.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria for 2024
The candidates who wish to get admission in MD/MS courses in the top reputed medical colleges across India or Foreign needs to appear in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test PG entrance exam. However, the candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the authorized body.
Only eligible candidates can appear in the exam. Those who are failing to eligibility criteria cannot write the test. The criteria have been summarized below.
- The applicant should be an Indian Citizen and for foreign nationals, temporary registration from NMC is mandatory.
- The aspirant must possess MBBS Degree or Provisional certificate recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- The candidate must hold a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS degree issued by the State Medical Council or National Medical Commission.
- The candidate must have completed their internship on or before 30th August 2024.
- There is no age limit for the exam.
NEET PG 2024 Registration
NEET PG application process involved several steps. The application process is completely online. The steps of the application process include, registration, filling up details, application, uploading documents, and fee payment. The application process starts with registration. The candidates need to register themselves on the official website.
After registration, a login ID and password will be generated. Now the candidate has to use that password to fill out the application form for 2023 NEET PG. Provide your basic, academic, address, and contact details. In the next step, the candidate has to upload the scanned copies of the required documents along with the signature. Now the last step is application fee payment.
The application fee is non-refundable. You can pay your fee through a debit card, credit card, UPI transfer, or any online payment mode.

Admit Card 2024
As per the official website, NBEMS will release the admit card soon. The candidate who has successfully registered for the examination can download their hall ticket. The admit card will be available on the official website of NBE. The candidate has to use login credentials for downloading admit.
After downloading, check the details printed on the admit card and affix the latest passport photograph on the given space. The candidates are advised to take the admit card at the examination center.

NEET PG Exam Pattern 2024
Exam patterns play an important role in the actual examination. It will help the candidates to prepare for the examination. The examination paper comprises the details of the question paper such as mod of the exam, question type, number of questions, marking scheme, duration, and so on.
So, the NEET PG has been successfully conducted online. There were 200 multiple choice questions for a maximum of 800 marks. The examination was conducted in English medium and the duration of the exam was 3 hours and 30 minutes. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and there is also a provision of negative marking (25% means 1 mark) for wrong answers.
The question paper is divided into three parts, pre-medical, paramedical, and clinical.

NEET PG Result
The NEET PG results will be released 15th July, 2024 on the official website of NBEMS. The same can be checked by entering login credential at official website of National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences.
The candidates are advised to take a hard copy of their score and rank card for future reference. This scorecard is valid for the upcoming session only. Scorecard will be required during the counseling.
NEET PG Cut-Off
The official authority will be release the cut-off scores along with the results on 15th July. The minimum qualifying scores for the general category are the 50th percentile. For the ST/SC category candidates, the cut-off score is 40th Percentile.
Several factors decide the cut-off marks for NEET PG. however, the candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks for getting admission into MD/MS courses.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling
The date for NEET PG counseling is not declared yet, but it will be organized by the state and central authorities very soon. The complete counseling schedule will be announced on the official website. The Medical council committee will conduct the counseling for 50% of All India Quota Seats in deemed/central universities, and ESIC/AFMS institutes.
On the other hand, the respective state authority will hold the counseling for the rest of the 50% seats. The NEET PG counseling involves
at least three rounds. The steps of counseling are registration, choice filing of course and college, seat allotment result, and reporting to the allotted institute.
Based on. NEET PG results, a merit list will be prepared. According to that list, seat allotment takes place. The higher the marks, the better the college will be allotted to the candidate.
NEET PG Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates are advised to reach the exam center within one hour of the prescribed examination duration.
- The exam timing is 9 A.M to 12:30 P.M. Entry into the examination hall will close at 8:30 am.
- All the candidates must go through the security procedures.
- Candidates are advised not to carry, a writing pad, bags, pens, books, pencil boxes, , etc. to the exam center.
- Don’t carry electronics items such as calculators, smartwatches, pagers, etc. They are prohibited in the exam hall.
- There are no provisions for their safe-keeping of the items prohibited in the exam hall.
