The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra has released Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024 schedule. The seat matrix will be displayed on 21st Nov, 2024. Candidates will be able to fill their choices between 23rd Nov to 25th Nov, 2024. What is Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling?
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is in charge of Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling. In short, this is how the NEET PG 2024 qualified students are allotted seats. So in basic terms, it is a systematic, merit-based procedure for helping students get placed in the suitable college and course of their choosing.
There are two deferent category seats
All India Quota (AIQ) – Fifty per cent of most of the seats in this category are filled up by the MCC ( Medical Counselling Committee) looking after this category.
State Quota: The other fifty per cent of the seats are allocated to eligible candidates who are domiciles of Maharashtra.

Counselling Process
Registration
To begin, go to the official Maharashtra CET Cell website. Register yourself by filling in your NEET PG roll number, personal information, and educational achievements. Remember to pay the registration fees—it’s essential if you wish to go ahead.
Upload Your Documents
After you have successfully registered, you will be expected to upload some required documents as well. This consists of:
- Your NEET PG 2024 scorecard
- Your MBBS degree certificate
- Your internship completion certificate
- Proof of domicile in the state of Maharashtra if required
- A caste certificate If you are one who wishes to avail of reservation benefits.

Merit List
After verification, CET Cell shall publish a provisional merit list. A list that indicates your placement in rank based on the number of applicants. Any inaccuracies or anomalies can be raised in a grievance. This hitches the process again as it can take time before a final merit list is available after the grievance is settled.

So this is the best part! Here you will be able to select your favourite colleges and courses. In this case, definitely do rethink the alternatives let’s think of distance, instructors, integration facilities, previous cut offs, etc. Finally when you feel confident go ahead and make sure your choices are sealed.
Seat Allocation and Vacant Seats
Merit rank and allocation will be made at your wish list and according to the NEET PG score provided. Information concerning the outcome will be made available online.
Report to allotted college
Satisfied with your allotment? Proceed to the designated college to complete the admission process. Remember to bring your original documents, and pay the requisite fee. If not satisfied with previous allotments, one can avail the next round of counselling.
Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling Registration Fee
Candidates who want to register for Maha NEET PG counselling 2024, must pay non-refundable register fee of Rs.3000/-. Candidates who are applying for government medical colleges without constitutional reservation will pay Rs.25000/, and candidates who are applying through quota will pay Rs.12500/-. Candidates who are applying for both government and private medical colleges will require to pay Rs.1 Lakh as fee.
Reservation Policy
Maharashtra NEET PG counsels reserves policy is administered as per its state’s:
- Scheduled Castes: 13%
- Scheduled Tribes: 7%
- Other Backward Classes: 19%
- Economically Weaker Section: 10%
- Persons with Disabilities: 5% horizontal reservation
