Eligibility Requirements for NEET PG Counseling for Andhra Pradesh 2024
In order to qualify for the counseling phase, aspirants should meet the following criteria-
Qualifying for NEET PG: The candidates should take the NEET PG exam and obtain a qualifying rank in order to be considered eligible and entitled to take part.
Domecile: A candidate for the seat quota should be a citizen of India. A candidate will also have civilian rights residing in Andhra Pradesh state. However, there would be some seats which are not restricted for candidates from the state.
Academic Qualification: Candidates who possess a level of education equal to that of a degree in MBBS or possess a degree in a foreign medical graduate which is approved by the Medical Council of India are applicable for this.
Registration with the Medical Council: It is compulsory for the candidates to get registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council or have registration with a medical council of another state in India.
Categories of Seats in Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counseling
The NEET PG 2024 Andhra Pradesh postgraduate medical counselling offers comprising of both government and private medical colleges postgraduate medical courses admission to these seats are divided into the following categories;
State Quota Seats: Most of the seats in this category are available to both local and foreign applicants who satisfy the residency requirement of Andhra Pradesh.
All India Quota Seats (AIQ): Only the AIQ quota has an allotment that is not restricted to Andhra Pradesh. All India applicants can apply as well, but Andhra Pradesh residents are prioritized.
Management Quota Seats: Private medical colleges have admissions such as management – quota seats which are high in fee and easily available.
NRI Quota Seats: Some of the private medical colleges have some seats under NRI quota which also requires membership or affiliation.

Registration
For the registration for counselling process the first step is to begin the registration process. While registration, you need to fill accurate information including your NEET PG Rank, name, and background of education.
Selection of Preferences
Once registration is complete, candidates fill up their preferences for the colleges and courses. What follows is the most important phase in terms of the overall allocation of the seats process- in this phase students choose which college they want to attend. Candidates please note that it is best to prioritize on the need to submit a satisfactory amount of choices given how many rounds there are for the admission process.
Allocation of Seats
After the choice filling, the conducting authority will publish allotment result as per rank and availability of seats.
Verification of Documents
It is necessary for students to assist in the document verification process after the allotted seat is confirmed. Always remember that to the appointed verification centers students need to bring all the relevant documents such as all the original learning transcripts, internship completion certificates, a proof of completing MBBS, caste certificates, and so forth.
Reporting to Allotted College
The candidates after completion of document verification are required to report to the allotted college within the specified timeframe and complete the formalities of admission. Those who fail to report within the specified period risk losing their seat to other candidates who are waiting in line.
