Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the MCC NEET PG Counselling, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must have qualified for the NEET PG 2025 exam by securing the minimum qualifying percentile.
- You must hold a provisional or permanent MBBS degree certificate issued by a recognized medical college.
- You must have completed a one-year internship or are likely to complete it on or before the specified cut-off date.
Step-by-Step Registration Process
Registering for counselling is the first and most important step. Follow these instructions carefully:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the MCC official portal (mcc.nic.in).
- New Candidate Registration: Click on the “PG Medical Counselling” link and select “New Candidate Registration.”
- Enter Your Details: Fill in your NEET PG roll number, application number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth exactly as they appear on your admit card.
- Pay the Fees: You will need to pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit. The amount varies based on the category and the type of institution you are applying for (e.g., Deemed Universities have a higher security deposit).
- Choice Filling and Locking: After successful registration, you can fill in your preferred choices of colleges and courses. You can select as many options as you wish. Remember to lock your choices before the deadline, or they will be automatically locked.

Understanding the Counselling Rounds
The counselling process is conducted in several rounds to ensure maximum seat allocation.
Round 1: The initial round where candidates register and fill choices.
Round 2: Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 1, or those who want to upgrade their allotted seat, can participate. Fresh registration is also available for those who didn’t register in Round 1.
Round 3: This round is held to fill any seats that remain vacant after Round 2.
Stray Vacancy Round: A final round conducted by the respective institutions to fill any seats still left vacant.
