UP NEET Counselling 2024: Special Stray Vacancy Round (Started), Registration, Choice Filling & Result

UP NEET special stray vacancy counselling 2024 has been started by DMET (Directorate of Medical Education and Training). Last date to register for special stray vacancy round is 25th Nov, 2024. Candidates who have appeared and qualified in NEET UG 2024 will be eligible to participate in counselling process. Counselling process is online and candidates have to register to submit an online application. The Whole counselling process has several steps such as registration, payment, choice filling and allotment. DMET will organize counselling events in 3-4 rounds. There are two main rounds 1st and 2nd followed by two more mopup and stray vacancy rounds.

Candidates who are seeking MBBS admission in Uttar Pradesh, required to participate in counselling. Candidates can apply for 85% seats through UP MBBS counselling. Eligibility Criteria for UP NEET Counselling 2024

• Eligibility criteria is the entry barrier to participate in counselling events. Candidates who have appeared in NEET UG 2024 and qualified are eligible to participate in UP NEET UG counselling process.
• It is necessary to be a native of Uttar Pradesh for MBBS admission in all the government medical colleges/universities/institutions/minority institutions of the state.
• Candidates who have passed high school and intermediate from outside Uttar Pradesh and are native of UP. They have to to submit a domicile certificate.
• It is not mandatory to be native of Uttar Pradesh for admission in Pvt Medical colleges of UP.

UP NEET Counselling 2024 Registration and Process

Registration

Registration is the first process of counselling events. Candidates who want to participate in the counselling process 2024, have to register at UP NEET official website https://upneet.gov.in. Just to confirm you that this is one time registration for all counselling events. You don’t need to register further to participate in the second round of counselling.

Registration fees

There is a prescribed registration fee of Rs.2000/- to complete the registration step. Students can be the registration fee online via net banking/ debit or credit cards.

Security Money

When you have completed the registration part of the counselling process, now it is time to pay the security fee. Security money is a refundable fee which is paid to Director General, Medical Education & Training, U.P”, payable at Lucknow by the Demand Draft.  There is separate security money for government and private medical/dental colleges  in the state.

Document verification

Document verification comes after registration and deposition of security money. It is a mandatory process. Candidates need to report to the respective nodal center to complete their documents verification. If a candidate fails to report at the document verification center, his seat will be given to the student next in the line.

Choice filling and locking (Allotment process)

Candidates who have done with their document verification process need to participate in choice filling and allotment events. This is step by step process to follow-

Login – The candidate needs to login by entering his/her roll number and password. This is an OTP based login, so an portal will send at registered mobile number.

Choice Filling and Locking – The list of colleges will appear on the screen. Now select the college carefully and arrange them as per your choice. You should click on the save button after adding the college to the list. After completing and reviewing your choice list, lock it. Candidates who fail to lock the choice application will not be entertained.

Allotment list – Once the choice filling process is over. The DMET reviews the applications and displays the list of the selected candidates.

Reporting to college – The selected candidate must report to the college as per prescribed date. Candidates need to carry all the necessary and supportive documents.
